Hey y’all! I’m Stacey! Also known as pie girl, pie person, girl with the pie earring (lol). You also probably know me from my debut cookbook 50 pies, 50 states. Where I baked a pie for every state in America (along with some fun personal pies) and dedicated each state pie to someone I knew from that state. The book is a love letter to the country I call home and the people that have made this place my home.
Pie is the medium of choice but my real passion and mission in life is to harness the power of food to bring humans together and to conjure memories both good and bad. I see pie and food as the perfect vehicle to soften the blow of tough and hard conversations but also the perfect celebration for the good times. As a human on earth, I am on the constant hunt for the connections and stories between people and food, food as mile markers in my life and others.
I hope in this monthly newsletter to explore musings and thoughts in my life whether centered around pie or everything else swimming around it. My food is influenced by my life, my travels, my thoughts and my feelings.
